What kind of license do i need to open a bakery. space for 1,230 square feet at our mall and 4 mths rent free

and I'll be working for myself. I have $5,000 to start with I'll be making cakes, cookies, and gift baskets. We will have other great products and even so we don't have a bakery here anymore. The guy that use to have a bakery said he made a lot of money and then HEB bought him out and he sold everything and works for them.

ordinance has nothing to do with it.  As the structure is within a mall its already approved for that kind of use.

You will need a construction permit for any work you plan to do on your suite.  

You will also need health department approval of your kitchen, prep and clean up areas.  Really, that's all... and ongoing inspections.

I hope the space already was a bakery.  $5000 will get very little work done and purchase very little equipment.
