It has a very long tail it's light tan with big brown splotches on it. I found it in my house (desert) and I've been keeping it in a cage with a little water because it looked dry.

  1. probably some kind of racerunner. a type of skink. you never said what state you lived in. i lived in new mexico and there are several types of skinks there.

  2. lined racers is what it sounds like.

  3. It would really help if you said where you lived. Without that important piece of info, I can't help you. There are thousands of lizards worldwide.

  4. Its not a salamander, bc they don't live anywhere near a desert, and they are only out in the spring, thats all I know

  5. it might be a gecko - if it has big toes then it probably is and geckos are found all over the place so it may just be one of them

  6. I've seen those at Grand Canyon and such. I think they are desert lizards or something. Just a guess because that's the only place i've seen them.
