  1. thats quite a big tank for just one anole but generally people tend to stay away from mixing species. although i have seen people successfully house green anoles with brown anoles, house geckos and long tailed lizards and with an enclosure that big i dont think you would have much issue with fighting. just be sure you have an extra tank around if there is an issue with fighting or diease between these lizards and be sure to quarantine the new lizard for 90 days before introducing it to your anole

  2. I would just get more green anoles. I have seen them kept with house geckos before They will be happier with their own kind, if you try to get another sort of reptile they will likely have different heating/humidity requirements and neither specie will be happy. It's great that you have such a large tank for them though, your anoles will be thrilled and will thrive. I've always wanted to have a nice anole display tank, you could even put plants in pots in yours to make it look great. (Here's a list of reptile-safe plants - http://www.anapsid.org/resources/edible.... or http://www.plantsciences.ucdavis.edu/ce/...

Make sure any new anoles you bring into the tank are healthy, oftentimes they are sick or emaciated at pet stores. Also don't get brown or bahaman anoles, they are completely different and will grow much larger and have different requirements than green (carolina) anoles. You can tell roughly if the anole is healthy if it is alert, has no discharge coming from its body anywhere, looks like its of a good weight and is bright green instead of brown or is pale.

Good luck with your tank! Sounds great!
