  1. I have a African Fat-tailed gecko in a 20 gal he seems quite satisfied with it so i guess a type of gecko. Bearded dragon grow pretty darn big so 20 gal wouldn't last him his life time if you want something like a bearded Dragon i recomend a 60, 70, or 80 gal maybe even a hundred gal tank but if you really want to stick with the 20 gal go for a gecko and remember research, research reseach before you get anything in that tank.

    Peace out!

  2. bearded dragons are really the best lizards in my opinion.  they get to be about 1.5-2 feet including the tail. (about a foot with out the tail) and are so sweet.  they are so gentle, and all you have to feed them is meal worms and crickets.

  3. i would suggest a leopard gecko they max  around 10 inches they are very calm peaceful creatures i currently have one and he loves me he'll sit on my shoulder while im in my room, on the computer etc. also they are easy to tend for. hope this helps

  4. Tank, rocks and a hide is a good place to start, but you're gonna need a shallow water bowl, moisture hide, heat, basking lamp... basking perch, digital probe thermometer to set the cool and warm ends...

    You're only just getting started.

The size reptile you get will be determined by what can live out its life in the 20 gal. tank.  You can't toss an iguana in there.  You can't toss a bearded dragon in there.  You can't toss a Savannah monitor in there.

Oh sure, you COULD put a BABY of any of those species in a 20 gal. long, but they would quickly outgrow it, and you'd end up with a mean and sick lizard.

I suggest you do some homework before you get a lizard, and google either Leopard or Crested geckos.  Or other species which can be content in a 20 gal.

I'll toss some links below to get you started on your homework.

Good luck, and hope this has been helpful.

  5. a leopard gecko could live in there their whole life. An anole, also. Other than that you could use it to keep a baby bearded dragon, frilled lizard, chinese water dragon, iguana... basically, any type of reptile baby. But, consider the fact that those babies will outgrow the cage rather quickly!

  6. you can get a desert horned lizard

  7. collared lizard

    blue spiny lizard

    leopard lizard

    spiny crevace lizard

    leopard gecko

    emerald swift

    armadillo lizard

    giant whiptail

    fire skink

    ocellated skink
