  1. I've been to Australia a couple of times and Woolworth is one grocery store chain. That's the one that comes to mind right now.

  2. Coles supermarkets and woolworths supermarkets are 2 major aussie chains.

We also have Aldi supermarkets here which are German but they are becoming increasingly popular because they are cheaper but don't have as many brands in their stores.

Department stores we have are K Mart, Target, Big W (which is owned by Woolworths), Myer and David Jones.

  3. that pretty much covers it.

  4. woolworths - coles - aldi

  5. Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Franklins, Action, IGA are the most common grocery stores.

Department stores include Kmart, Target, Big W, Myer, David Jones.
