What kind of martial arts do they do in Avatar?

I remember seeing a Nick Extra a while back where the makers of Avatar: The Last Airbender told what kind of martial arts inspired them. My mom is going to make me take karate, so I wanted to do that since I love that show.

    Earth- Hun Gar, and Toph's in Hun Gar & a bit of Preying Mantis

    Fire- Northern Shaolin Kung Fu

    Air- Ba Gua
