What kind of material are cloth diapers made of???? Please help!?

My daughter has skin problems and I am trying to switch her to cloth diapers. However, I see that the Bumgenius is made of polyester on the outside, but what about the inside. I have already ordered these but i will send them back if they arent cotton on the inside. Does anyone know? And does anyone know where I can find 100% cotton diapers?

BumGenius usually have microfleece (polyester) on the inside.  I don't know which pocket diapers have natural fibers on the inside, but I know they exist.  You could also go with prefolds, flats or fitteds, all of which come in a variety of natural fabrics like cotton, bamboo and hemp.

I suggest going to this site and asking about the pockets with natural inners, someone there will definitely know which ones they are.  There are lots of experienced cloth users there. :)

EDIT - I just checked, and the inner of the BumGenius pockets is suedecloth, which is 100% polyester.  This is also what's on the inside of their regular all-in-one diapers.  They do make an organic all-in-one though, that has organic cotton on the inside instead.  Hopefully that will work for you, but if not, there will definitely be other options.

hi most cloth diapers are made of cotton, but you can also get bamboo ones which are also a natural fibre and way more absorbent than cotton

i went on the internet and found some information that might help you. here is what i found. call 1-866-843-6348  nick's diaper's the web site is www. MySwim Baby .com    also go to yahoo Groups there are a couple of diaper making lists that can help you find supplies as aplix (softer the velcro ) as wel as alternate fabric's...... my duughter could not wear pamper's so i uses flannel diaper's on her and they workwd great plus they are more absorbent then cotton diaper's. hope this help's.

Wal-mart and Target both have 100% cotton diapers for sale on line.  I don't know if they are available in stores or not.  I'm sure Babies R Us also have these.

I'm almost positive it is a cotton microfiber.  Bum genius also has an organic cotton diaper, but that one is (of course) more expensive.  Most of the pocket/all in one diapers are either cotton microfiber or fleece (the fuzzibunz are 100% polyester "microfleece".

Bum Genius is manufactured by "Cotton Babies, Inc.", so I'd HOPE they're 100% cotton!!
