What kind of material can I use for homemade tapestries?

I'm covering my basement walls with tie-dye tapestries and since I need so many I'd rather make my own but I can't think of a material I can use that's long enough, and pretty cheap too...I've thought about white jersey-knit bed sheets but I'm sure those aren't as cheap as I'd like.

those sheets are like 10 bucks or so, give or take, so i'd go with those. ^_^
