  1. Have you considered an alternative form of treatment instead of medication, as medication can have side effects.

Therapy can also be a viable alternative to Social Anxiety medications and can help you greatly. Talk with your doctor about all your alternatives and find the right one for you.

  2. lexapro helped me.

  3. Your antidepressant may need to be adjusted or you may need to try another one.  The best treatment for depression/anxiety is meds and therapy.  CBT tends to be the most effective.  If you do not have a therapist, look for an experienced one you can respect and trust.  All therapists are not equal, so shop around before going with a particular one.  (The first appt is yours to interview.  If it's not a fit after that or the first couple sessions, move on.)

  4. Tell you're doctor that your current meds aren't effective. You may simply need a dosage adjustment. Also work on your depression from another angle: self-help and counseling. I recommend the "Cognitive Behavioral Workbook for Depression."

  5. DRINK ONE CUP OF HOT GREEN TEA EVERY DAY AND YOU WILL FEEL BETTER.

  6. Take this into consideration. It worked for me, although I am not you.

I had overwhelming anxietyand depression. It turned out to be my use of Splenda. Yup Splenda. How could something that taste so good, be so bad?

I like to say sucralose, not Splenda, because that is what Splenda is. And it is in a lot of stuff. The package doesn't have to say Splenda to have sucralose in it. You have to read labels. So, you might still be using it and don't even know it!

Sucralose is poison. It ruined five years of my life. I had a laundry list of medical problems while taking it, including overwhelming anxiety, depression, mood swings, insomnia and more.

Go ahead, google: anxiety splenda or anxiety sucralose or insomnia splenda or insomnia sucralose

The slogan, "Made from sugar..." is very misleading. Splenda might be made from sugar, but it is far from sugar. The resulting chemical is an organochloride (chlorocarbon). Organochlorides are typically poisons.

carbon monoxide - made from oxygen so its like a breath of fresh air

  7. Try Paxil. That's what I'm on now. Celexa seemed to work good for me too with SAD.
