  1. As Eric has said the pretty much the same as today.

Many people with a disability either cogitative or physical were rarely seen, if not hidden from the world. At certain stages of history many people with epilepsy and mental illnesses was thought to be possessed by the devil, or considered to be witches, and burnt at the stake.

Sadly many people were placed into institutions/asylums or madhouses and treated in appalling ways, many people having never even known the loving or caring touch most humans crave.

With our en-lighted doctors on what causes some cognitive/mental disabilities and how to better manage and treat a disabled person has thankfully come a long way.

  2. Probably the same ones which are around now... I would guess that most went "undiagnosed" or people never realized they had 'em.

Literacy, while spreading, was not "commonplace" for most laborers... so a learning disability like ADHD or dyslexia probably wouldn't have even raised an eyebrow.  (They probably would've just thought s/he was slow and not suited towards learning)

  3. Only that were NOT caused by the genetically modified food or vaccines we are forced to consume today. Alzhiemer's, autism, cancers. AHD, etc. were not there.
