  1. They use the Euro (EUR €). Euro's became legal tender for banking purposes (non physical form) in France on 1st January 1999, and then coins and notes were introduced between January 1st and February 17th 2002.

  5. Most European countries now use the Euro.  The exception is Great Britain which still uses the pound.
