What kind of mother is Sarah Palin? She has an infant with Downs Syndrome and, because her political ambition is so strong, she is willing to effectively abandon her child. Downs Syndrome kids are beautiful people but they do require extra effort; effectively "special needs children". What kind of a mother leaves her infant child for political gain? Do you really want a person with that judgment as a potential VP? Is this an example of "family values"? Have the kid and then walk away?

  1. Only a man would think that a woman can't do her job AND take care of her children.

  2. Projecting you homo erotic sexual fantasies in your YA id is clearly a TOS violation.

  3. I agree.  VP's travel constantly and a mother shouldn't want to leave her four month old whether he has down syndrome or not.  I'm not affiliated with either party but this is ridiculous and any conservative who says that they wouldn't be having a field day with a liberal candidate in the same situation is lying or...well, is lying.

  4. Unlike Sarah Palin, I believe every woman has the right to choose whether she will be a mother or not.  Perhaps because she doesn't believe in choice, she had a child she really didn't want and therefore feels no attachment to it.

Presidential campaigns are grueling.  There is little time to sleep or sometimes even eat.  As a mother myself I understand the pull between work and home, but I don't know any mother who would be willing to walk away from her infant for the campaign trail.  Perhaps Palin plans on having a nurse travel with her.  Lots of people will be interested to see how she handles the situation.  In my book, she lacks the values I look for in a leader.

  5. I agree. I don't think she has her priorities straight.

I'm not against a woman having a career, but running around the country campaigning  is sure take take time away from

the bonding that should be taking place while this child is so young.

  6. What about the father? Is he not qualified to raise the child, or is a stay at home dad to taboo even for open minded liberals?

  7. I agree. Here's another example. Her eldest son spent his last year of high school in Portage Michigan playing hockey. She never visted him.
