What kind of mother throws her daughter into political scrutiny?

We used to hear about Republican preachers belittle the unwed sister of Britney Simpson for being pregnant. Now, maybe Republicans won't be belittling any young woman for creating life. Sarah Palin's spokesman Tucker yesterday said this should be kept "a private matter private among family" and said its "dangerous to confuse public with private." Sarah Palin wants privacy when it comes to her daughter but when it comes to all American women she wants their privacy outlawed. What a hypocrite! I feel sorry for the girl whose mommy dearest cares more about her own political career than her own family.

Preachers are free to belittle whoever they like and it is not political, and there are consequences for it - a lot of people don't like being judged and don't like preachers. Liberals are famous for not wanting to be judged.

But then they turn around and do it themselves. Blame the scrutinizers for making this political. There will be consequences for this scrutiny, and the scrutinizers will be shocked come November 5 to discover that their scrutiny helped to turn women voters away from their 'chosen one'.

Why is it because a female wants a career, that the liberal stance seems to have now been set back 30 years..barefoot and pregnant/ I did not see Biden give up his political ambitions when his wife was killed..so whats with the double standard now? isn't applying one set of rules for a male candidate and another for a female candidate contradictory to equality? That seems somewhat hypocritical....

Sarah Palin, knowing her daughter was facing the most difficult crisis of her young life, CHOSE to put her on the national stage and subject her to unsparing scrutiny, for the sake of her political ambitions.

That is putting politics before family and it's really too bad you're too blinded by your own political ambitions for Sarah Palin to see it.
