  1. Canoes are made to be powered by paddles, manually. Although there are motor kits...unless you want a fast way to drown...don't do it!

    If you want a motorized boat, GET one-don't put one on a canoe. It will still mean you cannot legally go on ANY body of water that is restricted to 'no motor' boats.

    If you absolutely must have a motor because you are determined to defeat the purpose of a canoe, then go to a marina that SELLS the motors and ask them to look it up and find you the right size motor.

    Recommendations....for a no motor zone...an electric trolling motor of about 65 lbs thrust and a 90 amp hour Deep cycle batt. assuming you have a charger.

    Otherwise consider the new Honda BF2 ,4 stroke.

  3. Small out board 2 or 3 hp or a trolling motor. In my state you are required to put a registration on any boat with a motor.
