  1. Never built one myself , but most use a form of generator not a motor. I sent a few links you can look at. Have fun


  2. A generator by nature is actualy a dc motor with the power applied to the rotor instead of the field coils but that is a little theory heavy,  really you need a generator and depending on how much wind you get and the size of the generator will also play a factor in how big your blades are.

    There are lots of books on generation and fan power on the market today

  3. I built mine useing a alt from a Dodge. Find a 200 amp self exciting alt. I charge 6 ,12volt batt.
