What kind of motor oil for a 1985 KX 80?

It's a 2 stroke. how much oil too???

  1. Use any of the high tech two-stroke oils available at any bike shop. The factory recommended ratio is probably 32/1, which is 4 onces of oil in 1 gallon of gasoline. Some people may recommend leaner ratios of 40/1 or even 50/1, but, I personally believe your engine will last longer using 32/1.

    The transmission oil can be just about anything. Various oil manufacturers make so called special gear lubes, but, regular 10w-40 motor oil is cheaper and will work just fine.
