  1. try a honda 125, XRM , easy to use. well balance, cheap to buy, and forgiving, good for 100ks per hour on the flat. great back up,

  2. If you're tall, go for a 500CC sportbike. It's not so much power that it will turn around and blow fire in your face but not so little that you would get tired of it soon.

If you're on the shorter side, a shorter 500CC sportbike should do.

  3. One that you can sit on with both feet flat on the ground.

    Kawasaki Vucan LTD  500

  4. HARLEY!! haha ud prob look cute on a harley. they have rly nice ones but theyre expensive

  5. Everyone's gonna say get a kawasaki ninja 250, which is a great bike to learn on.

The number one thing to do is complete the msf course and then from there on see where you stand.

OK now when you talk about fast even the ninja 250 is gonna accelerate 0-60 fast than almost any car, and a 600 cc sportbike WILL accelerate 0-60 faster than your corvettes lamboghinis, and maybe even the bugatti.

The problem with the ninja 250 is that you'll get tired of it and want a faster bike sooner than you know.

SO I recommend taking the msf and seeing how you do in that.  I was the only one in the class who had never ridden before and still got a perfect score.  Also I am kind of an adrenaline junky( although I refrain from admitting this to mature people). So I got a 600cc bike.

If you're completely confident on a bike then weigh your options of getting a 600. If you're short then I definately recommend getting the 250, so you can to learn to handle the weight.  I had a friend at work that is a 33 year old strong guy but he's 5'8'' and he dropped his r6 because he had trouble reaching the ground on it.

And usually the salesman will try to get u to buy a bigger bike because they make more money.

Goood luck.  There's nothing sexier than a girl on a sport bike, be safe and don't die=).

Oh, and I know you talked about brand, but that really isn't as important as Displacement.  which is measured in cubic centimeters. the six bikes you should look at if you're looking at new bikes are the kawasaki ninja 250, suzuki gs 500, honda cbr 600, kawasaki zx-6r, suzuki gsxr 600, and the yamaha r6. the last for are the fastest, yet basically equal, the only difference would be ergonomic fit.

  6. Depends on lots of factors.  Your size, riding history, intended usage, personal preferences.  But that's a cop-out.   Ninja 650r, cool bike, versatile.  Suzuki sv650, some similarities but distinct differences too.  I ride a V-star 650 cruiser.  Low seat height, manageable power, nice looks.  Kind of heavy though.

Triumph makes some killer yet affordable rides if you want something outside Hon, Yam, Suz, Kaw.     Don't be afraid to look outside the USA and Japan.

  7. CBR600RR are fast and you can lower to fit your size. Most bikes have fast pickup. So for beginner try lower cc like 250 or 500.
