What kind of mountain bike would be used for enduro racing, plain trail riding occasional rocky roads and?

  1. I have a gary fisher marlin and it has great controll on rocks and I have yet to brake any thing in it jumping (10 foot jumps).


  2. you would need a nic ehardtail mountain bike with 120 - 140 mm suspension  dont get a full suspenion because you wont nee d it as much but  i use a hardtail with 120mm suspenion and its nice for a lot of things such as jumping, trails and light free ride

  3. If I were to have just one do-it-all bike it would be a Giant Trance. As far as helmets go anything a bike shop has will do the trick.

  4. anything with 4" of Travel front and rear would be perfect, like an Ellsworth truth or Gary Fisher HiFi and its varients

  5. I would recommend a all mountain type bike.  These bikes are stronger and can take more abuse then a XC bike. BMC, Yetti, Specialized, Iron horse, just to name a few company's make good all mountain bikes.  Just a regular helmet will work.
