Amanita muscaria, commonly called "Fly agaric" because it contains chemicals that stun flies, is one type of "shroom." They can make you seriously sick, so watch out.

Mushrooms in the Psilocybe genus are also considered shrooms. They generally won't make you as physically ill as Amanitas.
