  2. it is not restricted to a certain type of music, they listen to rock, salsa, huayno, etc. It depends on the age of the listener. However, if you ask what typical music there is in Peru, I'd say Huayno and Marinera. Merengue and Salsa are not typiocal from Peru but many people listen to them. Rock is also very popular.

    There's a lot more but these are the main ones.
