What kind of negative news have you heard about the planet?

I just heard that in 50-100 years we'll run out of water.

I also heard that in 20 years there will be no seeds to grow plants. It will all be genetical.

We're not running out of water.  

Water isn't going anywhere because the Earth is a closed system however the distribution is dependent on the weather system and that has been changing due to Global Warming.  

As the Earth warms, so does the temperature of the sea, and with a warmer sea it effects how the currents move so you'll start seeing places that don't usually get a lot of rain will get a lot now, and other places will not get any rain at all.  This resorts to floodings and droughts.  The thing is how do we get drinkable water to drought areas?  Water is very heavy to transport.

I haven't heard about seeds not growing, but I think it'll be difficult for it to grow due to the irregular weather patterns that is happening.

I think hearing that the polar northwest passage is not frozened anymore is disheartening and that countries are trying to use that as a new shipping lane are not encouraging.  I've read that Antarica will not have ice on its surface during times in the summer in a few years.

Also by 2050 the human population would hit 9 billion people according to UN census.  We currently have 6 billion people as of 2008 and we already have all these problems.  Can you imagine 3 billion more people on Earth?

There is 326 million trillion gallons of water on Earth, so I don’t think that we are in any danger at all of ruining out of water for at least a couple of billion years or so.

no the question,  what kind of negative news have you NOT heard about the planet?  

anyway, i heard that in 2013,  the world is going to end becuz of global warming!  

i hope not,  cuz im graduationg highschool then!

and the animals will die  and so will the people,  itll be a mess,  and i want the animals and people to live for a long time!
