Lately I've been craving subway and have been having oil and vinegar put on it. Anybody know what kind it is? ...or an alternative that I can buy at the store to get the same taste. Thanks!

  1. Most restaurants use a canola/olive oil blend and red wine vinegar is the standard vinegar used on sandwiches.

If you're making a sub at home, use extra virgin olive oil; it tastes sooo much better!  It's more expensive, that's why restaurants use a blend.

  2. Most of them use Canola oil. It is a mono-unsaturated oil. Meaning it has no saturated fat. It also has high concentrations of Omega-3 fatty acids which are good at raising good cholesterol and lowering bad cholesterol.

  3. Subway uses pure oil. That's why it is always fresh food. "Eat Fresh" is not understated, it is true.

  4. It's the cheapest c**p they can get away with.
