What kind of oil do I use in my 2003 Suzuki Katana 600?

  1. just stick to the recommended brand by the manufacturer and I'm sure all the service centers should be familiar with that


  2. The best oil is the manufactures oil, Suzuki-lube or whatever they call it. Beyond that, as long as the weight is the same a lotta people have their own personal brand they like. Like valvoline or castro

  3. It is always better to use motorcycle oil but regular automobile oil is what most people use. 10W40 for moderate temps like 50 to 85 degrees. If you're in a warmer climate where temps are higher than 85 consistently, use 20W50. The extra heat makes the oil thin out sooner so you want the heavier, thicker oil in hot areas. Just make sure the label doesn't say anything about friction modifiers.
