  1. For how old your Kawaski jet ski is, I recommend you use Quicksilver Premium 2-Cycle Oil.  This is by far the best overall outboard 2 cycle oil to use other than buying OEM oil from Kawasaki made for your personal watercraft.

You also need to find out what fuel-to-oil ratio, this is extremely important as if you don't do this correctly, it can damage the engine or wreck it entirely.  Most 2-cycle oil containers come with mixing data to help you figure how much oil is needed for how much gas is in the tank.    If in doubt on how much oil you needed, a "little" more is better than not enough.

If you have the personal watercraft's owner's manual, look in it first.  If you don't, try to look at the PWC's gas cap for that info.  If no success, open the storage compartment in the front to look for a sticker or tag with that information.  If not there, then take the seat off and look in the engine compartment and look at the back of the seat you removed.

Finally, if you don't find the info anywhere, give your closest Kawasaki dealer a call and ask for the fuel to oil ratio from them.  You will need the year of your PWC, the model number, and maybe the serial number too

Do not buy the cheaper, generic 2-cycle oil.  That means avoiding Wal-Mart, convience store, or other generic 2 cycle oil brands.  Using cheaper 2 cycle oil will not bring you any savings, just more problems.

It's one of the cardinal rules about boat engines, don't skimp on the quality of oil used.

The second cardinal rule for boat engines, NEVER run one without it being in water or hooked up to water.  Be prepared to shell out a LOT of money in repair costs by ignoring this rule.

Just to inform you to make sure you know, understand and follow the laws in your state on personal watercraft and boating in general.  Law enforcement on waters tends to be very strict and rarely gives warnings, they mostly give tickets.
