I have these turtle shaped stepping stones and they are already painted beige. I was not the one to paint they were given to me as a gift. I want to paint them over myself but Im not sure what the right paint to use on them is or if it really matters? they will be outside and the yard is in full sunlight. I want to paint them to look like real turtles lol so Im not sure if I can use just any kind of paint or what? Thank you for your help!!!

  1. SURPRIZE      Cement paint, comes in about 5 standard colors, optainable at paint store.

  2. You can use basic craft paints, acrylics,  you can also use Delta acrylic outdoor paints, or Ceramic paints by Pebeo they all do fabulous results on stepping stones

  3. Dry Lock would be the best brand to use. You can pick it up at Lowe's or the Depot.

  4. There's a lot of good concrete paints out their.......but the problem is what does the first coat consist of? Your painting might only be as good as the first coat........and sometimes that is not good.........check with a very good paint store...you might even take a turtle with you and let them look.......all the best.
