What kind of paint do black guns use?

supposen i wanted the kind of paint that you would use on black guns.... is it matte black spray paint i should be looking for? : )

+1 on duracoat, it's great stuff.

Forget bluing. Cold blue looks like c**p and if you try to hot blue without knowing what you're doing you'll probably end up dead...nasty stuff.

If it's for an airsoft gun just say so and use spray paint.  

Edit. Glock uses a tenifer coating kind of like parkerizing but different chemical process...duracoat could probably be made to match the look.

Look up DuraCoat or Aluma-hyde

You can't get it at WalMart

That depends on the era of gun making.  Older guns about 70's and earlier are done with chemical bluing.  You can get that stuff in a wal-mart or sporting goods store.  Most newer ones are done with various chemical additives,i.e. Teflon or other thing.  It isn't paint.
