What kind of paint should i use to do a small painting on a wall in my room?

There is a small door to the attic in my room that i'd like to paint a picture on ,but i don't know what type of paint to use

I too would use acrylics.

What is the surface of that door? Depending on that you have to stick to that paint.

Or

Sand it. Give it a base coat (Gesso) and you can use any type of paint you want.

Use acrylic paint. The kind used for tole painting. When you are done painting your picture, spray it with clear paint.
