I don't have a bunt pan, but I want to fix an angle food cake. I'm not too sure on what kind of pan to use. Obviously I haven't made one of these before, so I'm pretty much clueless on how to do this. Thanks all.

  1. i think the best to use is a bundt pan.  when you go to look for one in the store....even at walmart it will say angel food cake pan on it.

try the silicone pans because they are flexible and easy to get out with out messing up the cake.  do not get teflon pans and do not grease a pan because it needs to climb up the pan and butter or grease will weigh it down and not let it do it's thing. and let it cool upside down and it will fall out on it's own when it cools.

hope this helps you out......i love angel food cake....yum yum

  2. You don't necessarily NEED a bundt pan...but you won't get the height a tube pan gives you (cake will be a lot more dense).  Do you have a loaf pan?  Gives you good-sized pieces like the tube pan.  :)

  3. If ur going to make an angle food cake, I would use a pan that has a 90 degree angle so u dont have to use a spirit level when u take it out of the oven.
