I want to make my own patterned papers for scrapbooking. I do not want to make the paper itself, but I want to print the patterns using a wide format printer. What is the best and easiest program to use and where would I get acid free 12x12 papers?

  1. Any photo program would work. I have Ulead but you could also use Photoshop or Print Shop Pro.

I'd buy bigger paper, print it and then cut it down to 12 x 12 to guarantee full page coverage. You can use an archival spray to neutralize the acid. Yes, it will work. This is exactly what they do to make paper acid-free.

  2. I don't know about the software to do this, but as far as the paper... why don't you just buy packs of plain scrapbooking paper and print on it? That way you're pretty sure it is photo safe. They sell packs of plain scrapbooking paper almost anywhere nowadays.

This looks like it might be what you need: http://www.collectedmemories.com/cgi-bin...

    Or try this: http://www.crgibson.com/Default.aspx?Pag...

This one on the packaging says digital images can be printed on the inserts: http://www.stuff4scrapbooking.com/white-...

This one, like the last comes with page protectors, but for the price you wouldn't know and you could always sell the other stuff on e-bay. : http://www.archivalusa.com/br12.html

    Heres one in bulk: http://www.collectedmemories.com/cgi-bin...
