What kind of paperwork/cash/shots do i need to bring my dog with me through canada from ak to the lower states

To cross the border with your dog you will need a valid rabies vaccination certificate(within the past year) and an International Health Certificate(in your name) that your vet will fill out verifying that your dog is healthy and has no medical concerns or diseases.  Some of the ports of entry will ask for the International Certificate others will not, it is just as easy to get it when you are there getting the dog his rabies shot, that way you know you have all the documentation for the dog.  

Also make sure your dog is not on the banned breeds for entry to both Canada and the US. I think it is still just Ontario that is banning Pit Bulls but I am not sure.
