She turn 12 last week, so this is a belateeed party. Not into trendy things like Hannah , or any other Disney characters.

I would like the party to be for mature girls. But nothing too wild.

She wanted a house party with a DJ but our house is too small. There will be about 15 girls or less. We might do roller skating. She thinks that's kinda uncool. So any suggestions would help thanks.

  1. bakeing

  2. maybe a shopping spree at the mall, or rent movies and buy tons of junk food, or play games in the backyard at night like hide and seek, or have them bring make-up and give them make-overs.

  3. SSHHHHOOOOPPPPPIINNNNGGGG SPREEEEEEEEEEEE AT THE MALLLLL!!!!!!!!

  4. one time one of my daughters invited 8 friends over for a movie-thon birthday party. they had the downstairs living room all to themselves and had skittles, chips, drinks, cakes, cookies, doritos, ice cream, M&M's.. you name it, they had it.

they watched all kinds of movies and stayed up until the sun came up (some of them did). we have a home arcade as well, so they had fun playing those games, too.

another daughter had a spa party. she invited a bunch of friends and they each got a towel made into a bag that had face masks, nail polish, lotions, bath oils, emery boards, etc.

they made smoothies and drank them from fun plastic cups and watched music videos and just had fun being kids.

roller skating sounds fun - you'd be surprised how many of her friends will actually have fun. then she'll see that it wasn't so bad after all.

it's a tough age; trying not to be a kid (which they still are) and trying to be "cool" and grown up - but you know there's a part of them that still wants to be a kid!

    what about a karaoke party?

  5. They have parties at  roller rinks  and bowling alleys for kids that age and they have the food and drinks and either they have the cake or you bring it that way its not at home they have fun and everybody's happy

  6. How about a spa party?  You could have them all bring their favorite nail polishes and face washes... I know just typing it sounds lame. My daughter is 21 and always made sure we knew what she wanted - she always got it too!  Good luck!

  7. My eleven year old loved the American Idol party we just had.  We used the karaoke system and games like sing star or guitar hero.  We glammed up for the girls and rocked it for the boys with inexpensive sunglasses and boas, etc.  we had popcorn and other easy snax.  The kids had a ball.  We awarded medals to winners and we made sure there were plenty of categories.  This kind of party works both inside and out if weather permits.  you could even roll out a small red carpet.
