We may doing something good but i am certain that we are doing injustice to our motherland INDIA. I am not giving a speech here but what are we doing? sleeping? blaming the politicians? great we are huh>>>>>>>>> many people have laid their lives but we are happy because we get a holiday...... thats it. by reading this you would simply think one more lecturer has come to teach us what to do............... WE NEED TO WAKE UP WHy are we letting wrong things happen dont we have hands and legs or are we blind? You the people are responsible.WAKE UP....OPEN YOUR EYES

We indians are not fit to govern ourselves, we are right from day one treated as slaves, are fit to be slaves,and remain as slaves. even ater switching on to democracy not much has changed even today economic explotiation is the maxium in this country we have our hand tied little can we do,but sit and watch the way the society is detoriating day by day. in every field  there is total erosion of proffesional ethics and money has becoming the aim of all persons.every work is equated only in terms of money.  no spirit of goodness or service left in our hearts for our country and country man.

you are right. i agree with you. but let us think, is our condition so bad? i don't think so. but this is also true that all progress we are making is all because of the 15% sincerely working indians. all we need now is to awake the rest 85%.

I agree that we Indians need to do a lot more for our country than what we are doing right now.

But let us examine the options. India at present is in a vice like grip of corrupt politicians and bureaucracy. The rich and the powerful can make these people work for their selfish interests. But the common Indian is more often than not at the receiving end of the administrative system. Getting justice is time consuming and expensive. So, if the common people are at a disadvantage against state power and authority, they are pretty helpless to initiate good things. People have voted different political parties to power with no discernible difference in results. The incentive to perform is simply not there.

But still the common people have done a lot in every sphere of life to make India proud. In defence, scientific research, corporate sector and other areas, there are scores of instances to show that the people aren't sleeping.

I believe India is growing , And growing very fast. To the fact U can check the Stock indexes , and go through it, Even Rupee has becoming stronger to U S Dollar now.

your concern is serious. approach needs to be pragmatic and strategic.

the tener in your querry says it all. sure we need to wake up and do what. First identify the problems one by one and work towards its solutions. This is a forum where all the members are contributing their views and expressions. I think this in itself is a very commendable job. I personally think that our society is lacking awareness. Awareness on all aspects.

Even well educated people are not aware of the basic rights available to an individual. what do u expect from illiterates.

All issues need to be debated and a place such as this is the right forum. I believe that through debate many if not all problems can be solved.

Inculcate the attitude of creating awareness and see the difference.

you are the first person who has just woken up with the reality , i leave in UK , and i just don't understand the mentally of the Indians . You are right you as Indian are not doing anything for your country ( As Indians you just want to sit back and say it will happen , the old Indian way with golden hand shake), and i think you know what i mean, i know so many Indians who come to UK for holidays for few months and they are still here even after one year or so they leave in a big house with lots of people work privately so they get money in hand cause they are earning ( 80,rupees for a pound), what they would make in a month probably they  make that in a week or so,   i mean what is the sense in that why come here when you ask them that question , their answers are because they ( English came and rule  Indian, so i say well we deserve it if they did not come than someone  else would of come and they have so many came to India to rule why not go there . India  is run by old politicians and their thinking is the old way you do not need that we are in 21st century we need to move on , if you have good qualification than why not use it in India and not go anywhere cause that is why you went to college and University to get a good eduction  , You as Indian should realise this because after all we have to leave something behind for our children and thier children as well ,

We need to have open mind and be reliastic in this day and age ,

get rid of all the Old poilticians IN the Indian parliment than you might get somewhere

in a democratic set up every one has a right to

air his/her views which is the reason for sixty long years we have been only only arguing/debating and opposing any move that would do any good to the people.so our set up is such that we cannot do anything but merely sit up and watch all that is going on and see the entire society perish. we are living in a society where man's life is cheaper to dog's

I agree with you. Unless people are not ready to make things change for better, they will never change. French and Russian revolutions are example but we do allow the politicians play vote bank politics and divide us in the name of castes and religion. But what is the way out.
