i came across this picture and was wondering what kind of pepper plant this is.

That ls the Ornamental Pepper plant.  It is not edible.

This is an ornamental pepper plant called the Christmas Pepper Capsicum annuum. It is edible. It is called this because it looks like christmas lights. if you visit http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/2689...     you can find all the info about it. It is a very pretty plant.

its a ornametal Medusa pepper, they some in many different colors, mainly red and purple. we have some in pots, (except we only have red ones) and we put it in salsa sometimes, it is edible, but doesn't have much flavor. but they are good for decorating!
