  1. 1.) I think of "Brielle" as a fat, black chick, or some trashy girl.

2.) Whenever I here the name Lorraine, I think of:

    Uuuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh

Or any lady over 50, some mom.  I also think of Alsace-Lorraine.

3.) Mr. Darcy from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.  It also sounds a bit trashy as a girl's first name, on par with "Tammy" and "Chelsea" (no offense to anyone out there).  You know how some mom's out there nowadays are trying to name their girls "different" names, when they're really not that "different," like "Sophia," "Madison," etc., the name "Darsey" (especially with the spelling) is in league with those.

If I were to chose, however, I'd pick "Darsey" because it's less trashy than Brielle and age appropriate.

  2. Brielle I havent heard of. Lorraine is a name for an older lady over 40. Darsey I havent seen that spelling, but we call it Darcy here and I believe it is French, I see it for a boys name more than a girls and again for an older person.

  3. I may be influenced by your figured pronunciation of "Lorraine", but to me, all these make me think of the parts of the USA that we in the UK have come to know as "the Deep South".

The name "Lorraine" is popular and traditional in the UK, but pronounced "Lor-rain"

  4. Harsh sounding names. Doesn't give the image of a pretty and gentle girl, but a rough and tough type who will wring your neck if you mess with her. Too much R sound

  5. They all sound like unattractive redneck girls or really butch lesbians.
