It seems as though it would take a 'special person' to participate in legalized theft.

  1. Ok, so I don't work for the IRS, but I do work for the British equivalent (HMRC)

    What's your problem?

  2. Same as work for the govt. at any level.  Unqualified for real work.  All govt. paychecks are welfare checks.  All govt. jobs are handouts to ppl with no skill for the private sector.

  3. Well, I've only encountered three.  Two who came in black suits to evict my sister from her home because her husband, from whom she'd separated, had failed to pay back taxes, were pale, pock-faced with waxy skin, and dead-eyed.

The third was two days ago, on the phone.  I had filed my return on the wrong form, and instead of the stimulus amount of $300, got a check for $138 and a bill for $160.  Her sense of humor was like mine, and the entire transaction correcting the situation ended up a laugh fest.
