I've been thinking of different things I could do as a way of making a living, and cosmetologist came up but one of my relatives said they didn't think I have the personality a cosmetologist would need. I am someone who is outspoken about opinions, but I do think I'm friendly and tactful to strangers. I'm not a social butterfly but I do enjoy, well, socializing. What kind of personality does a cosmetologist need to have?

  1. Tolerant

  2. outgoing and listen to what your clients say

  3. The personality you described yourself as having is the perfect one for a cosmetologist!

This is my profession, and I don't fit the standard at all - I'm quirky, a little shy, with occasional outbursts of mocking laughter - but my clients love me!  Go figure. This field caters to many diverse personality traits.

If this is your passion, follow it.

  4. you do need to be a social butterfly and be very outgoing and very kind.
