What kind of pet and name should I choose?

First, you need to decide which pet you can best provide for.  A beta or goldfish are, perhaps, the easiest to care for out of those you listed.  You need to think of the costs associated with the pet-food, necessities such as tank/cage, etc.  

What is your lifestyle like?  Do you live somewhere with space for a dog to run, or in a small apartment?  That also factors in.

But, to give the simple answer-I would suggest a turtle named Fluffy.  It would definitely be an ice breaker/conversation starter.

If I were you i'd get a dog, and from those names, i would pick Fluffy. =]
