  1. Lions, tigers, elephants -- the usual stuff.

  2. What pets DO you own anywayS?

  3. Contact the Kentucky Department of Agriculture at (502) 564-5126 to see if they are legal in Kentucky.

Consult with the combined city-county government: Lexington-Fayette County at (859) 425-2255

Finally you'll need to consult your deed of restrictions and neighborhood association restrictions. Some places have strict limits on numbers and types. Others will allow you to move them in, but you can't get anything new that is outside of your the standards. Contact LFUCG -- Division of Planning (859) 258-3170 for a list of neighborhood associations.

There have been cases in the area where animals have been removed from homes, but most of these involved exotic pets (someone even had a lion at one point!). Just be aware, it can happen and if you are going against neighborhood, city, county, or state regs, you won't have much of a defense.
