My grandmother was a painter so the majority of my artwork came from her, and was free. She sold a lot of her paintings though for about $250-$1000 depending on the painting. I also have some photographs that I took myself of various things like sunsets, beaches, etc. They cost me about $20 total-- $5 for the poster size print and $15 for a nice frame.

It depend on what you want for yout theme.For the living room you could do Pictures of flowers in the colors that match your room.You could do angel pictures in one room or cherubs.
