What kind of pine trees are these?

What kind of pine trees are these? They are like 20-30ft high and the bottom 4' of them don't have any branches...

  1. Impossible to tell without being able to see the cones close-up or the number of needles in a bundle.  At first glace, I would have said white pine, but I don't know what country you're from or if they're a native tree.

    And because of the density of the needles in the upper branches, light doesn't get to the needles on the lower ones for photosynthesis, so many of the conifers will self-prune and lose the lower branches.


  2. If these are in the NW. they are likely Douglas Fir.  If they are somewhere else, I don't know, but they are a fir.
