What kind of places should I volunteer in if I want to work in the U.N. or some international career?

I want to work in hospitals and homeless shelters too, but I was wondering if there are volunteer oppurtunities that would help my career ambition? (im a junior in HS)

Usually international deals with community development so i recommend working in an orphan home, HIV hospital, and any organizations that related to health, education, and community development.
