What kind of plants and animals were around with mammoths

  1. Mammoths lived 15 to 60K years ago - before man really appeared but much of the world was as we see it now, we woudl recognise elephants, tigers, trees, ferms, fish etc etc

Actually the first answer is wrong, the world then looked very different from now and you might see the ancestors of the animals he listed (mammoths are the ancestor of the elephant so how would you see an elephant walking around) but you probably wouldn't recognize them as "hey thats a tiger", they looked much different. and humans were around at least some of the time mammoths were, we would hunt them. these are our ancestors of course, we were nomads at the time and didn't really have any kind of social structure, culture wise. and I think he meant ferns, which were around but since the mammoth lived in cold areas you probably would see more firs then ferns. at any rate there were lots of plants and animals that lived then but even if they were related to our present day animals, most of them looked very different and strange.
