Please don't just say "plastic".

I would like to know what *kind* of plastic it is that credit cards are made of. Is it polyvinyl chloride (PVC)? Polystyrene? Polycarbonate?

Please provide a source for your answer.

Thank you in advance!

  1. Mostly polyvinyl chloride acetate (PVCA) (and then magnetic tape, etc), but PVCA is the plastic part.
