What kind of plug adapter will I need in NZ? Where can I find one?

  1. There is a good web site that talks about the range of power adapters used around the world. I've linked below to the NZ version.

    You can get adapters in any international airport. Look for one that says that is works in Australia (AU and NZ have the same plugs)


  2. The other poster found what type of plug you need.  I believe their voltage is about 230-240 volts. Much different than the 110 volts used in the US. You can find BOTH the voltage converter, AND the plug adaptor at a travel store in your area, or at stores like Target (sometimes, even department stores like Macy's carry these items).  You will definitely need the plug converter so you can plug your items in.  However, you may or may not need the voltage converter.  If it is for a iron, curling iron, hair dryer, etc you will.  But if it is just for a camera battery, check your charger specs.  You might have a charger that can accept both American and European voltages.
