  1. Auto-focus lenses need circular polarizers, manual lenses can use either.

Unless the filter size of your Tamron lens is the same as one of your other Canon lenses, there is no reason to spend a lot of money on one.  The Tiffen brand is a good one and one of the oldest filter companies still in business and spending under $65 for such a filter will still get you a good polarizer.

If you want a second option, look at B&W as well as Hoya brand filters.

Spending the extra money on a super multi-coated filter only makes sense if you are shooting under exacting conditions where image ghosting (flare) cannot be controlled.

  2. I would go with the Tiffen personally. The other two are multi coated to cut down on UV glare, but this is already a polarizer and unless you do alot of landscape shots in sunlight you probably would never even be able to tell the difference.

  3. Buy the Tiffen. I have one I've used for 36 years.

B+W and Heliopan and Hoya and Singh-Ray are also good choices.

No offence to Calumet Photo but who knows who made their filters and what their quality is.
