What kind of problems can arrise from giving LLC equity.?

I have placed an ad and offered a percentage of profits in return for "SEO" and marketing services for my ecom web site. One respondant wants a piece of my LLC before begining any work. What kinds of problems could an arrangement like this bring on?

I am an SEO / SEM expert... NEVER in a million years would i take partial ownership of your company for my services... if someone is willing to do that... and they can deliver what they say... they should do it for themself....
