What kind of products were the PBDEs (fire retardants) Penta- and OctaBDE used in?

1. What kind of products were these two PBDE fire retardants used in? I'd like to know so that I can avoid them, since they've been discovered to be bioaccumulative and toxic to the human body.

2. Were these used in vehicle interiors? I have a 2007 Ford Ranger with a fabric interior. Could it have either of these chemicals in it? How would I find out?

3. What is the half life of these chemicals in the body? Once they get in you, how long is it before they ever come back out?
