  1. It depends on how many owners (stables, single entrepreneurs), what % the trainer takes, what % the jockey takes (always 10%)....

  2. All depends on what the purse is ??

They take out for the trainer and then the Jockey

and if the race is a paid into ?

    or added money

    So all will very""

  3. Most races have 60% of the purse money going to the owner of the winning horse.....From that he has to pay his trainer 10%, Jockey 10%

The other expenses are variable but include:

    Training Fee

    Vet Bills

    Ferrier Bills

    Stable

    Special Feed and suplements

    Insurance

    Transportation

    Entry Fees

    Nomination Fees

Bloodstock fees (usually 5% of purchase price)

    Liscensing Fees

There are many others depending on how you come to own your horse (ie auction, breeding, claiming)
