What kind of pump do I need to pump water out of a 40 gallon tank? ?

I have a 40 gallon turtle tank and I would like to pump the water directly out onto the lawn. what kind of pump would I need to do that?

eg. One hose inside tank and pump the water out the window

Just siphon it.  Stick a hose in the tank that is long enough to reach out the window and suck on the end of the hose until you get water flowing.  Be careful because turtle water doesn't really taste that great.

As long as your lawn is lower than the tank you dont need a pump. Just a length of clean garden hose and syphon it out.
