  1. you have a outdated blade putter. great great brand. confidence is shot in this putter. what you have is a blade putter . try ping sedona. wilson 8802 or 8813. ram also has two great blades , tom watson signature. ram f/x . stay with the blade . your stroke is fine. happy hunting, if it does not work, got about 60 putters basement .

  2. There are literally hundreds of putters on the market.  Ping, Odyssey, Scotty Cameron to name probably the biggest names available.  However whichever putter you choose, I think that you will probably have similar problems.  Putting has 4 basic components. Seeing the line, hitting the line, Speed control and Distance control. All 4 components need to be right for a putt to go in.  It sounds like you may have a bit of a problem with at least distance control.  a 10 ft putt needs more energy to roll the distance than does a 5' putt.  I'd suggest a ladder drill where you make 5 Putts say from 5'  Then move back 1'  Make 5 more consecutively and keep moving back in 1' increments. If you miss you start over at the 5' mark again.  Yes it can be a tedious process but it will give you a better overall feeling for the stroke needed to roll those 15' and 20' ers we all face from time to time.  Hope this helps.

  3. dude get a scotty cameron, these are the sickest putters in the world. i just got one and its money from everywhere. look on ebay for a cheap one or buy a new one.

  4. go try out a ping 1/2 moon putter. thats what i have and anything from 10 feet in is automatic. it has an insert and its great.

  5. The short answer is: you just have to try some out..

You mention that you can find a line to the hole, but seem to have a problem on medium and long distance putting.  The best option would be to spend lots of quality time at the putting green consistently putting straight puts to 1 foot past the hole.  I can't guarantee that you will be 10/10 from 30 feet, but you will 'get it there' for an easy 2nd putt.  Solid accuracy from short distances is easier to maintain because you hit those putts more often.

That said, you may want to consider making only a minor change for your putter.  If you already have some feel for the short putt, then you might want to try a similarly shaped putter head, but choose something with a different insert.  Think about the Odyssey White Hot XG #1 or MacGregor DCT Captiva.  These putters will give you a similar view, but the face material may give a better feel for your distance shots.

  6. Scotty Cameron. I love them.
